Meet the Pocket Marketing People

Hey there, it's Maria! I've been a long-time lurker in the Marketing & Sales industry, and now the owner of my own small business, Pocket Marketing, for the last two years. With around 15 years of experience, I've dabbled in various sectors, from corporates to not-for-profits, airlines to textbooks, and even ventured into sales and social media.

While I appreciate the power of a great marketing campaign, I understand that a flashy logo and buzzwords can't replace the value of building strong customer relationships and really understanding your target audience. I believe in the importance of personalised connections and nurturing customer loyalty.

Growing up on an orchard near Auckland and now residing in Tauranga, I have gained insights into the unique and diverse needs of both urban and rural communities. Now, I enjoy being part of the vibrant Otumoetai community while I navigate the busy life of a working mum with three children while squeezing in as much running as I can.

When it comes to coffee, I'm a fan of both coffee and tea! A good almond milk flat white or just black from time to time works for me. And if you offer me a bag of ready salted potato chips, I'll never say no.

In my spare time, you'll find me running on the trails, spending quality time with my family, indulging in delicious food, or getting my baking game on.
